Happy New Year, I hope it is a good one for you.

In December we had a successful Victorian Christmas Fair at Kelham Island, raising over £500.00 and making lots of new friends. Special thanks go to Scott and Adele Bailey, and Michael May, who donated generous prizes for the raffle. They both run their businesses at Portland Works.  The prizes were drawn by our Lord Mayor Sioned Mair-Richards.

Our next fundraiser is the Sheffield Heritage Fair at The Millennium Galleries on 28th and 29th January, for more information see the link below. It’s a great opportunity to meet a wide range of heritage groups from across the city and beyond.  If you are in town drop in and say hello.

If you are interested in getting involved with Friends of Portland Works, and have bookkeeping skills, we would love to hear from you!

Finally, Portland Works celebrates the 10th anniversary of the community buy-out on 28th February so we look forward to a year of celebration as well as a year of progress in restoring the building.
